Here you will find 3D animated instructions (Flash
plug-in required) as well as
written instructions for installing your
PVC curtains.

Animations
Please note that the following
animations demonstrate how to fit curtains using a 'Maximum' overlap.
Written
Instructions
Hook-On
• Cut the stainless steel top
track to the desired length, allow at least 25mm cover to each side if face
fitting.
• Use the 30mm x 8 gauge pozi-pan head zinc plated screws to secure the
stainless steel track to either the soffit or face of the opening.
Sandwich the PVC strip between the stainless steel plates ensuring the concave
side faces the small plate. Position the small plate to the bottom and the large
plate to the top facing up.
• Push the rivets through the holes in the large top plate and through the PVC
strip until it aligns with the holes in the bottom plate.
Thicker PVC strips may need to be pre-drilled before "sandwiching" between
the plates.
• To achieve minimum overlap, hang the first strip onto the top track leaving
three hook spaces before hanging the second strip, centralise and hang the third
strip over the three hooks and repeat the procedure.
• To achieve maximum overlap, hang the first strip onto the the top track leaving one
hook space before hanging the second strip, centralise and hang the third strip
over the one hook and repeat the procedure.
• Finally trim the bottom of each strip to the desired length using a sharp
knife.
It may not be possible to achieve the desired overlap - this will depend on
the width of your top track.
Bolt-On
Face Fix
• Slide the M8 bolts
into the centre slot and along the track.
• The “L” shaped bracket can be used in any configuration that best suits your
requirement.
• Place the bracket over the M8 bolt and tighten into position using the washer
and nut.
• Place the brackets no more than 1200mm apart and no more than 200mm in from
each end of the track.
• Slide the required number of M8 bolts down both sides of the track ready to
receive the curtain strips.
• Secure the
brackets with track attached to the brickwork and concrete with rawl-bolts to
steelwork with high tensile nuts and bolts and to timber with coach screws or
large gauge wood screws.
• Push each pre drilled strip over the bolts with the concave side facing the
track.
• Hold each strip to the track using the aluminium plate, thread the M8 nuts
onto the bolts but do not tighten fully.
• Slide the strip to the desired starting place before tightening the nuts.
• If you are including Red warning strips remember to position these first.
• To achieve maximum overlap
each strip must butt up to the next on both sides of the track, for minimum overlap
each strip should be placed at a distance from each other that it overlaps by a
quarter of the width of each strip.
• Finally trim the bottom of each strip to the desired length using a sharp
knife.
It may not
be possible to achieve the desired overlap, this will depend on the width of
your opening and the width of your strip
Soffit Fix
• Slide the M8 nuts
into the centre slot and along the track.
• Place the brackets over the M8 nuts and tighten into position using the
countersunk bolts.
• Place the brackets no more than 1200mm apart and no more than 200mm in from
each end of the track.
• The "L" shapes brackets should be arranged so that each alternate bracket is
facing the opposite side of the track.
• Slide the required number of M8 bolts down both sides of the track ready to
receive the curtain strips...
• Secure the
brackets with track attached to brickwork and concrete with raw-bolts, to
steelwork with high tensile nuts & bolts and to timber with coach screws or
large gauge wood screws.
• Push each pre drilled pvc strip over the bolts with the concave side facing
the track.
• Hold each strip to the track using the aluminium plate, thread the M8 nuts
onto the bolt but do not tighten fully.
• Slide the strip to the desired starting place before tightening the nuts
• If you are including Red warning strips remember to position these first.
• To achieve maximum overlap each
strip must butt up to the next on both sides of the track, for minimum overlap each
strip should be placed at a distance from each other that it overlaps by a
quarter of the width of each strip.
• Finally trim the bottom of each strip to the desired length using a sharp
knife.
It may not be possible to achieve the desired overlap, this will depend
on the width of your opening and the width of your strip
Sliding
• Push the sliding
track brackets over the sliding track and position at intervals of no more than
1.2 metres.
• Level the track and brackets before securing to brickwork and concrete with
rawl-bolts, to steelwork with high tensile nuts & bolts and to timber with coach
screws or large gauge wood screws.
• Place the roller assembly over the M8 bolt and tighten into position using the
washer and nut.
• Place the rollers no more than 1200mm apart and no more than 200mm in from
each end of the track
• Slide the M8 bolts
into the centre slot and along the track.
• Slide the required number M8 bolts down both sides of the track ready to
receive the curtain strips before sliding onto the track.
• Push each pre drilled strip over the bolts with the concave side facing the
track.
• Hold each strip to the track using the aluminium plate, thread the M8 nuts
onto the bolts but do not tighten fully.
• Slide the strip to the desired starting place before tightening the nuts.
• Fix an M8 nut and bolt through the side and at each end of the sliding track
to stop the track from sliding out.
• To achieve maximum overlap
each strip must butt up to the next on both sides of the track, for
minimum overlap
each strip should be placed at a distance from each other that it overlaps by a
quarter of the width of each strip.
